Will Now and Then be this years Christmas No.1?

The latest Beatles single 'Now and Then' was released a mere 27 years after the band's last Top 10 hit Real Love. These lads are just not prolific anymore:-).

Strangely, Now and Then was released on Thursday, 2nd November but still managed to enter the UK Singles at No.42, rising to No.1 the following week.

The Beatles have achieved the coveted Christmas No.1 record on four occasions although none of the songs carried a Christmas theme.

1963 I Want to Hold Your Hand

1964 I Feel Fine

1965 Day Tripper/We Can Work It Out

1967 Hello Goodbye

A week after the release of I Want to Hold Your Hand, the Fan Club released their first Beatles Fan Club record to their 30,000 members.

In total seven Christmas Records were sent to Bearles Fan Club members:

17th October 1963:  The Beatles Christmas Record
26th October 1964:  Another Beatles Christmas Record
8th November1965: The Beatles Third Christmas Record
25th November 1966: Pantomime: Everywhere It's Christmas
28th November 1967: Christmas Time Is Here Again!
20th December 1968: The Beatles 1968 Christmas Record
19th December 1969: The Beatles Seventh Christmas Record

With Now and Then already achieving the No.1 slot it's doubtful it'll be a Christmas No.1 but what a fantastic time it's been in 2023 when the Beatles topped the UK charts one more time....
